Intention

theArtsforEarth (TAFE) is a community arts initiative acting in collaboration with a growing number of environmental and arts groups. It is an open source, ongoing campaign, to meet the needs of a sustainable ‘earth and humans’ system. All can participate, all are invited.

Focus

1. Eradicating Ecocide - a campaign to end ecocide at an international level and help people do business in sustainable and considerate ways. We wish to protect and respect a healthy Earth. The Earth Summit is a chance to get legislation pushed through that will achieve those goals
2. Global Summit – a London event August 2012. A program to accelerate the cross-sector transfer of disruptive innovations into new, sustainable stakeholder groups. Bringing creative & innovative dialogue to the table.
3. Keeping the Arts alive. We wish for an expansion on arts & education spending – and feel that without creativity we risk losing intelligence and, without intelligence we risk losing our environment.
4. We recognize the Earth Charter as a well thought out promise for our planet that all of the above are served by and, in turn, serve.

Campaigns

Be A Tree!’ is our first campaign. The second, Elemental, is soon to be launched and will be connected to June 2012’s Earth Summit - a time to bring world leaders together to make the right decisions that work for all of us. As a mixed media artist - with a healing and educational background - my main focus has been to raise awareness of the importance of using creativity to protect our natural gifts.

I am drawn to music, dialogue and the arts to create wise community, I’m an advocate for keeping the arts accessible to the mainstream. I believe we can fall in love with the planet and ourselves through collaborative, random acts of imagination!
